Hi friends,
On Friday we lost our darling, sweet prince Oscar after a very brief illness.
We are still in shock and in deep, what feels like inconsolable, grief at his passing. He came into our lives as a 3-year-old rescue dog in 2012. Born at the RSCPA, no one ever wanted him until we gave him a home. This sounds like we did him a favour but compared to the love he gave and the joy he brought us every day of his life, the favour was entirely his. He was a sweet gentle soul who was loved by all who met him.
There was no way on earth I could have written about food today. I struggled to even get out of bed. I’ll try to get things back on track next week.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Taryn. Oscar looks like he was a friendly, kind soul, and I bet his ears were incredibly fun to pet. We lost our beloved cat Tiberius in March to cancer, and the thing that I’ve tried to remember is that he had a good and happy life with us, where he got to be his very best self. I hope that you can recall the same, as you mourn Oscar’s loss. It sounds like you were a great owner and friend to this pup.
